Couldn't sleep. I could either drink chamomile tea or brandy to help me sleep. I choose apricot brandy and so now here I am a little tipsy.

I starting out thinking I would be biking with Jan but she canceled - didn't feel well - so my morning opened up. I practiced piano, made breakfast egg biscuits for the grandboys and for us (the ones for the grandboys have fake cheese - ours have real cheese), cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom. Just puttered around the house today, doing this and that with Johnny and Alison. Ali and I made soap in the morning. I made mainly soaps in a heart-shaped mold that Alison brought and she used my flower shaped molds. ( Some soap pictures HERE. )

I made my first bar of soap with the new molds and scents today. I only made one bar cause I just wanted to get a feel for it first, see how much essential oil would be the right amount and how it all works together. Last time I made molded soap was many years ago and I didn't use fancy molds or try to make layers. I think I used only clear soap ( Read more... )
